New Bedroom Curtains

Nearly 3 years I ago, I purchased fabric to make curtains, pillows, and a bedscarf for our master bedroom. After moving it around my craft room several times and getting it out to plan, I decided I was NOT going to make my own curtains. Rather, I was going to hire Susie Ruhland from Window Fashions to make the curtains. Susie came to our house about a month ago to measure and get the material from me. I decided I would make the pillows and my deadline would be when she was finished with the curtains.

Here are the new curtains!

Susie did a GREAT job! See how she matched the pattern on the two panels? I wouldn't have done that. These are lined and beautifully made. I am very pleased with them.
We have an electric baseboard heater to work around in this room and she figured out the best height to hang the rod and the best place to end the panels since we couldn't go to the floor.

I forgot Susie was coming today. I was a little embarrassed when she called me at work to ask how to turn on the light. I'm sure I turned red sitting at my desk thinking of the shape my house was in when we left this morning. We had vacation last week and I haven't got all the mail or laundry finished yet.
This is what they look like in the MESSY room.

That's right, there are no pillows yet! I did buy some pillow forms and I purchased trim for one. Now, who is going to hold me to a new deadline since the first one blew right by me? Maybe by the time the fabric is 4 years in my possession. I've heard that good fabric needs to age before you can use it. Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Window Fashions by Susie Ruhland did not pay me for this blog post. But I thought I should pay her for having to do this installation on top of my laundry pile. So, here is her website:
